Ali Boudewyn

Ali Boudewyn is a well-rounded therapist with a wealth of skills and experience.

In 2014, Ali graduated with honours from a specialized four-year bachelor program in Athletic and Exercise Therapy at the Pacific Institute for Sports Excellence, which then led to her Athletic Therapy certification through the Canadian Athletic Therapist’s Association and the Athletic Therapists Association of BC. During her education, Ali dual-certified by becoming a licensed Exercise Physiologist, through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology, as well as becoming a First Responder.

Prior to establishing her therapy business, Ali worked at LifeMark PISE Sports Medicine Clinic and iHealthcare. These professional experiences helped build a foundation for her own practice.

To gain insight into particular sports and build knowledge of the types of injuries that may occur, Ali dedicated herself to various competitive sports working with teams such as Shamrocks Lacrosse, Falcon Gymnastics, and Devils Fastball. In the summer of 2016, she travelled with BC Rugby to Rugby Canada’s National Championships, working as a First Responder for her team by day and treating injuries by night. In recent years she has shifted her focus from athletes to her own private practice. To keep a foot in the sports world and employ her passion for teaching, Ali is currently involved in mountain bike training and supervising athletic therapy students. Since 2016 Ali has been working closely with The Cycling Co, developing and instructing mountain bike specific training programs, all while being an avid rider herself. Ali supervises therapy students via BC Hockey to keep up with what’s new and exciting.

Ali’s personal experience with competitive sports, back injury, chronic pain, and autoimmune disease give her a deep understanding of what others are experiencing. She manages these challenges through her devotion to self-care, healthy living, and mindful exercise. Ali is always looking for ways to improve. She is currently training for the Mind Over Mountain Adventure Race and working on a Masters Degree!
