Clinical Counsellor in Victoria & West Shore
Ali Boudewyn, MC, RCC
Registered Clinical Counsellor
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) providing in-person counselling services in Colwood, online therapy throughout BC, and nature-based counselling in the West Shore area. I hold a master’s degree in counselling psychology and am licensed with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC #22529).
My practice welcomes everyone – you don’t need to be an athlete or fit any particular mold to work with me. I specialize in supporting teen girls and women, ADHDers, the queer community, and anyone navigating chronic pain or invisible disabilities.
Conveniently Located in Colwood for West Shore Communities
My counselling office is centrally located in Colwood on the Old Island Highway, making it easily accessible for clients throughout Victoria’s West Shore. Whether you’re coming from Langford, View Royal, Metchosin, or Sooke, you’ll find the Coastal Offices Building right along your route into Victoria. This central West Shore location offers convenient access and ample parking for clients throughout the Greater Victoria area.
The Place to Go When You've Tried Everything
Have you been searching for the right support, feeling like nothing quite clicks? Meraki Wellness Solutions is where people come when conventional approaches haven’t worked. My question for you is simple: Are you ready to feel better?
My counselling style breaks from traditional clinical settings. This isn’t institutional therapy where you’re rushed through appointments or treated like a file number. Sessions feel more like meaningful conversations than medical appointments. You’ll have unhurried time to share your story, and I’ll remember the details of your life – not just the symptoms that brought you in.
I practice with compassion, humor, and heart. I bring warmth, authenticity, and yes – humor – to the therapeutic relationship. You’ll be seen as a whole person, not a diagnosis. My approach is relational, deeply human, and anti-institutional in the best possible way.

Youths, Teens, and Young Adults
One of my favourite parts of being a counsellor is working with girls ages 8-18. My Mum is a retired preschool teacher, and I’m certain I inherited her knack for connecting with kids. I pride myself on being a safe adult that kids seem to gravitate toward and quickly feel comfortable with. Children are the best good people detectors! I believe my success with kids is due to my even-keel energy, authenticity, and silliness combined with the reliable structure I provide.

EMDR
“I feel like I’ve done so much self-work but I’m still stuck…”
I am an EMDR clinician. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing.
EMDR is the leading trauma therapy that desensitizes and reprocesses traumatic memories held in the brain and body.
I am passionate about EMDR because, for me, it finally released the ‘puppet strings’ tethering me to my past. I love that it is rooted in neuroscience and harnesses the brain’s ability to be adaptive. It’s very rewarding to see how it frees people, and the results are lifelong.
I often tell my clients that EMDR doesn’t erase memories, it just removes the emotional charge that the memories hold over you. Afterwards, triggers are no longer activating and you are left with the ability to show up as your most up-to-date self.
I am particularly interested in using EMDR with complex chronic pain and/or chronic illness clients. As they say, ‘the body keeps the score’. Stress and trauma are often held in the body and can manifest as seemingly untreatable pain and dysfunction in the body. EMDR is a unique way to address the brain-body connection and provide lasting relief.
